Modern convenience or ad delivery platform? ¿Por qué no los dos?

I have had many phones over the years, from the first iPhone, a number of the Nexus line of Android phones.. All of them have sucked in some way.

I have distilled my needs to a relatively straight forward set of things:

As such, I am thinking something like the Light Phone III.
